All Natural Miracle Face Masks For Dry Skin

Hello everyone,

Dry skin is a big problem specially in winter season. It can cause skin looking dull and dark. In winter season there is less moisture in the air and and with the excessive use of hot water our skin is unable to retain moisture. If the skin is not hydrated properly it can cause severe problems like eczema etc. Besides using intensive moisturizer and hydrating creams and drinking plenty of water, today I am sharing some home made masks (for dry skin), to get baby soft skin. If you are a person who loves natural products like me, then you don't need to go anywhere, you will get everything in your kitchen. So without further ado let's start today's post.

Banana And Honey Mask:

Banana is a favourite fruit of all ages. It is rich in potassium and vitamin E. Honey has anti bacterial properties and it softens the skin. For the mask peel one banana in a bowl and mash it. Add two spoons of honey in it. Blend them with a whisk and make a thick creamy paste. Apply on your clean face, neck and hands. Leave it for 20 minutes. Rinse with Luke warm water. And apply moisturizer soon after patting dry to lock in the moisture.

Aloe vera And Cream Mask:

Aloe vera is considered best to moisturize dry skin. Aloe vera gel has healing properties. Milk cream moisturizes the skin. For the mask add two table spoons of aloevera gel and two table spoons of fresh milk cream. Mix them to form a paste. Apply it on your clean face. You might feel a tingly sensation when you apply aloe vera gel on the face, but it is normal. Leave it for about 15- 20 minutes. Wash with normal water. Pat dry your face and use moisturizing cream or lotion.

Honey And Milk Cream Mask:

As I have mentioned earlier honey has anti bacterial and moisturizing properties and milk cream is also moisturizing. They together make skin very baby soft and also lighten it. For mask add two table spoons of honey and two table spoons of fresh cream. Make a paste out of them. Apply on clean and dry face. You can also apply it on neck and hands. Leave it for about 15-20 minutes. Wash with water. You might find it a bit sticky to wash off due to both ingredients. But don't worry you can use Luke warm water to wash off. Use a moisturizer afterwards.

Aloe Vera And Egg Mask:

This mask is also very good for moisturizing dry skin. Eggs are also good for tightening the skin and reducing fine lines. Take two spoons of aloe vera gel and one egg. Mix them well in a bowl to make a uniform consistency. Apply on your face and neck. Leave it for 20- 25 minutes. Wash with water and apply moisturizer.

That is all about home made masks for dry flaky skin. You can use any ingredients that suits your skin. There are no side effects because of all ingredients being natural. Always make sure to tie your hair backwards before applying any mask. And after washing never forget to apply moisturizer to lock all the moisture in your skin making it more soft and fresh looking. For best results use these mask twice a week or at least once a week according to your skin requirements.

Take care and stay happy.

Tips For Skin Care In Winters

Hello everyone,

After a long scortching months of summer I am sure that all of us wait for winters. Winter has so many attractions like long cold nights, sitting in cozy warm blankets or in couches having dry fruits and gossiping with friends or family, sipping hot cuppa coffee while watching your favorite late night show, sitting in your lawn or gallery and soaking enough vitamin D in direct sunlight, sipping chicken corn soup in chilly nights..... .......and so much more.

Winters bring so much fun along. But besides all these fun activities there are some problems too that come along with winters and the top most is dry itchy skin, dandruff, skin tan etc.

Today I am here with some very easy and useful skin care tips. Keep in mind that my today's post is specially dedicated to all those who have dry skin like mine.So without further ado let's start today's discussion.

I shall start with skin dryness. Although whole body skin suffers dryness in this dry weather but face, hands and feet suffer more due to more washing.

**If you have extremely dry and flaky skin than massage your body with oil before taking bath. You can use any oil you like for example olive , almond , coconut oil etc. It will take away all the flakes from the skin making it clean . Because these flakes don't let any product to penetrate deeply in the skin so it is important to make your skin clean and flakes free.

**Always take shower with Luke warm water. If you like to take shower with hot water than don't prolong your showers. This extra hot water takes away all the moisture from our skin making it extremely dry.

** In winter always change your moisturizer and use the one that provides intense hydration. Mild ones work best in summer but they don't fulfill our skin's requirements in dry and cold weather. So it is better to change according to the weather.

** Moisturize your face, hands and feet after every wash. Use more hydrating and intensive moisturizer at night. You can also add a few drops of your favorite oil in your moisturizer for night time.

**Use a foot cream for your feet and apply it daily. Don't let your heels get cracked due to neglegance. Because cracked heels look very ugly.

**If you have cracked heels than use petroleum jelly every night before going to bed. Apply them on your heels and other cracked and dry areas of your feet , cover them in socks and leave them overnight. Do it daily and you will see results in a week.

**Exfoliate your face, lips, hands and feet regularly to remove all the dead skin and dry flakes. The best time to exfoliate is when you are taking shower.

**Never forget to apply lip balm after ever two hours like I do 'coz I have extremely dry lips and they get flaky if I don't moisturize them. I also apply petroleum jelly on my lips to get more soft lips.

** Use DIY hydrating masks like honey, almond oil, olive oil, fresh cream, yogurt, aloe vera etc on weekly basis to get a soft, smooth skin.

** Never forget to apply sunscreen before stepping out in the sun.

** Remember moisturize, moisturize and moisturize again and again. This is the only key to soft, supple and problem free skin in cold.

Now coming to hair, the biggest problem of hair in winter is dandruff. It causes lot of other problems like itching, hairfall etc.

** If you have thick dandruff flakes in your scalp then you need to get rid of them first. No oil can penetrate in the pores with thick flaky scalp. So first of all exfoliate your scalp with a brush or a comb. Rub the bristles of the brush or tooth of the comb deep in the roots at the scalp. Keep in mind don't rub too hard or you will hurt your scalp. Rub with gentle hands. If you feel that dandruff is too stubborn to get off than apply some oil before hand, it will get soft and will easily be removed.

** Always mix 2 or three oils to get maximum benefits and healthy hair. Coconut oil is one of the best for long, healthy and shiny hair from my personal experience.

**For best results heat the oil to make it little warm and then apply in the roots. In this way it will penetrate in the scalp easily. Leave it for at least three hours and than shampoo your hair. Oiling your hair twice a week will keep the dandruff at the bay.

**Never wash your hair with warm water. Warm water steals all the moisture and makes them frizzy. If necessary like in chilly weather only use Luke warm water for washing hair.

Keep your water intake at least 8 glass in winters as well to keep our body and skin hydrated. In winter we don't feel thirst and drink less water that also results in dryness of skin. Indoor heating systems also aggregate the condition. So drinking plenty of water is a must.

That is all about today. I hope my today's tips will help anyone who is suffering from dry skin issues. Remember that these are all home remedies to combat the situation but if you have any serious issues that are getting worse than you should consult a dermatologist as soon as possible.

Take care and stay happy 😃.
